November 4, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Victoria Salmon Kings News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, remind fans that the team is hosting "Canadian Armed Forces Night" this Saturday, November 6th versus the Idaho Steelheads.
Join the Salmon Kings as we pay tribute to the Canadian Armed Forces and celebrate the Navy Centennial. Fans are encouraged to show up for the game early, as the building will open at 5:00 p.m. to the public and the first 1,000 fans into the arena will receive a free Naden Band CD. Also, great Canadian Armed Forces displays and exhibits will take over the concourse area of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, including a Navy attractions bus, computer flight simulators, an EOD robot and other various interactive displays. A ceremonial puck drop will also be executed by the Search and Rescue Technician (SAR Tech) team by way of rappelling from the arena's rafters!
In addition, the Military Family Resource Centre will be hosting the night's 50/50 draw, with all proceeds supporting their cause of improving the quality of life for military families.
The Salmon Kings will also be wearing commemorative Navy Centennial jerseys for the evening, with a limited number to be auctioned off at a live auction in the main concourse of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre following the game.
Advance tickets for the evening are now available for just $12! Tickets can be ordered over the phone (250-220-7889), online (www.selectyourtickets.com) or in person at the Select-Your-Tickets Box Office with the promotion code "Armedforces10".
