Coming Up This Week – The Saints play three games in three nights this week with a Thursday road game at Amarillo, followed by home games on Friday against Laredo and Saturday against Lubbock.

Upcoming Promotions – Saturday night is Texas Lotto Night at the San Angelo Coliseum. Each fan will be eligible to win free Texas Lottery Tickets on the Pick 3 Race during the 1st intermission. Saturday is also a Grades for Blades ticket redemption night.

Streaks – The Saints are currently riding an 8-game home winning streak and have picked up at least one point in their last 9 games (7 wins, 2 OT losses). Chris Minard has a 10-game point-scoring streak (15 pts) – while Tyler Knight has an 8-game streak intact (10 pts). The Saints are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games, and 4-0-1 in their last 5 games.

Week In Review – The Saints went 2-0-0 this week with home wins over Lubbock and Corpus Christi.

Jan 23rd / Lubbock 2 - San Angelo 3 / The Saints opened the scoring on Chris Minard's short-handed goal late in the 1st period. But, early in the 2nd period the Cotton Kings answered with a short-handed goal of their own to tie the game. Just past the midway point of the period, the Saints got goals from Matt Frick and Kevin Vandewater in a 15-second span to push their lead to 3-1. Lubbock blasted 18 shots at Saints goaltender Scott Reid in the 3rd period, but could only manage a 5-on-3 power-play goal midway through the period as the Saints held on for the 3-2 win. Reid had 32 saves for his 18th win of the season.

Jan 24th / Corpus Christi 0 - San Angelo 5 / The Saints got goals from 5 different players and Scott Reid notched his 2nd shut-out of the season as the Saints topped the Rayz 5-0. Kevin Vandewater and Kevin Wilson tallied 2nd period goals and the Saints blew the game open with goals by Jarett Metz, Steve Roberts and Andy Doktorchick in a 1:32 span of the 3rd period. Reid posted 31 saves to shut-out the Rayz for the 2nd time this season and pick up his 19th win. All three of Reid's career shut-outs have come at the expense of Corpus Christi.

Player Moves: Dusty Hunter has been put on Season Ending Injured Reserve. John Jarram was moved to the 45-day Injured Reserve. Corri Moffat was added to the 14-day IR. Konrad Brand is expected to come off IR in time for this weekend's games. Forward Kevin Vandewater and defenseman Gavin Hodgson have been added to the line-up.

All-Star Game – Chris Minard tallied two goals and Derek Booth had two assists representing the Saints at the Dodge CHL All-Star Game on Thursday. Scott Reid posted 23 saves on 29 shots – several of the highlight reel variety. Minard tied for 2nd in the Accuracy Shoot contest during the Comcast Skills Competition. Reid saved all 10 shots against him in the Rapid Fire contest.
