Reid Named CHL Goalie of the Week

SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Saints today are proud to announce that Scott Reid has been named the CHL Goaltender of the Week for week 15 (last week) of the CHL season. In two games last week Reid allowed just 2 goals and recorded his second shut-out of the season as he led the Saints to a 2-0-0 record for the week.

Against Lubbock on Friday night, Reid had 32 saves on 34 shots as the Saints beat the Cotton Kings 3-2 at the San Angelo Coliseum. On Saturday night, Reid had 31 saves as the Saints shut-out the Corpus Christi Rayz 5-0 at the coliseum. For the week Reid had a goals-against average of 1.00 and a save-percentage of .969. He upped his record to 19-7-2 and is currently tied for 3rd in the CHL in wins (19), is 4th in saves (906), tied for 3rd in shutouts (2) and 4th in save-percentage (.929).

This is the 2nd time this season that Reid has been honored with a Goaltender of the Week title. He won previously for his play in the first week of the season back in October.

The Saints return to action this week when they travel to Amarillo to play the Gorillas on Thursday at 7:10 p.m. That will be followed by home games Friday against the Laredo Bucks and Saturday against the Lubbock Cotton Kings, with both of those games at 7:05 p.m. at the San Angelo Coliseum.
