Week In Review – The Saints went 1-2-0 this week with road losses to Corpus Christi and Laredo, and a home win over Odessa.

Oct. 23rd / San Angelo Saints 1 - Corpus Christi 3 / The Rayz out-shot the Saints 33-30 and escaped with a 3-1 win Thursday night in Corpus Christi. The Saints controlled most of the action in the 1st period but a defensive mistake led the Rayz' first goal by Ed McGrane about half-way through the 1st period. Chris Minard took advantage of a wacky bounce off the boards to even the score about 3 minutes later, but a power-play goal by Mike Tilson with less than a minute to play in the period put the Rayz up 2-1. After a scoreless 2nd period the score remained 2-1 until late in the 3rd when the Saints pulled their goalie and the Rayz added an empty netter for the final 3-1 score.

Oct. 24th / San Angelo 3 - Laredo 6 / The Saints actually led this game 2-1 and 3-2, but a 4-goal barrage by the Bucks in the 2nd period put them up 5-3 heading into the 3rd period. The Saints apparently pulled to within 5-4 – but Chris Minard's power-play goal was disallowed when the referee ruled the net had come off before the puck crossed the goal line. The Saints pulled their goalie late in the 3rd down 5-3 and the Bucks added an empty netter for the final 6-3 score and the win in their home opener.

Oct 25th / Odessa 1 - San Angelo 4 / The Saints bounced back from two straight road losses to beat Odessa at home in a dominating performance Saturday night. The Saints led 2-0 on goals by Derek Booth and Ryan Finnerty until Sebastien Thinel scored the Jacks' lone goal on a power-play late in the 1st period. Booth added his 2nd goal of the game in the 2nd period and Trevor Weisgerber added an empty netter late in the 3rd period for the final score. Brant Nicklin recorded 20 saves for his first win of the season.

Injury Report – No significant injuries to report from Week 2.
