Saints Unveil 2019-20 Schedule

Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - In conjunction with the USHL, the Dubuque Fighting Saints have announced their schedule for the 2019-20 season. The 2019-20 season will mark the 10th season since Dubuque returned to the USHL. During that time, the Saints have won two Clark Cups, one Anderson Cup, and have made the playoffs in all nine seasons. Dubuque will start their home slate the first weekend in October, with the regular season running through April 18th, one week longer than last season.
The Saints will begin their schedule with just five games in October. Their home opener will also be their regular season opener, scheduled for the October 5th against Madison. Dubuque then faces four straight road games before beginning November with six straight home contests.
Last season, Dubuque took care of the majority of their travel in the first half of the season. This year, Dubuque will take on Muskegon and Youngstown, along with Omaha and Lincoln late in the regular season.
Dubuque will square off against in-state and Cowbell Cup rival Cedar Rapids eight times and Waterloo seven times. Last season Dubuque only matched up against the Des Moines Buccaneers three times, but in 2019-20 the two teams will meet eight times (tied for the most of any Dubuque opponent).
Other key series include a back to back in Cedar Rapids following the Christmas break, a three in three against the NTDP and Muskegon in late February and 11 of the last 13 games of the season played against teams from Iowa.
In addition to the 60 regular season games scheduled right now, Dubuque will also take on Cedar Rapids and Green Bay, twice each, during the preseason which will run from September 13th-21st.
