Saints/Roughriders Game to be Resumed November 12

DUBUQUE, IA- TheUnited States Hockey League announced today that the Dubuque Fighting Saints and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders would conclude the suspended game from Saturday, October 12 on Tuesday, November 12at 7:05 p.m. in Cedar Rapids.

Dubuque defenseman Dylan Chanter was injured last Saturday midway through the game after falling and hitting his head on the ice following a fight. In light of the nature of the injury and the distress of both teams on the ice as well as the fans at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena last Saturday,the Commissioner and general management of both the Fighting Saints and the RoughRiders concurredthat it was in the best interest of all presentnot to continue the contest.

"As they were on the eveningthis unfortunate incident occurred, the RoughRiders and Fighting Saintsorganizationshave shown a measure of true dignity andprofessionalism in working together to find a way to finish the game," said President and Commissioner Skip Prince. "These teams are rivals on the ice, but true partners off it."

The game will resume on November 12from the point at which it stopped. Therefore, play will resumewith 11:58 on the clock in the second period with Cedar Rapids leading 2-0.

Fans in attendance on October 12at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena can use their tickets on November 12when the game resumes.

Chanter is doing well and is back in Dubuque with his billet family. He stopped in at the Mystique Community Ice Center Wednesday afternoon to watch his teammates practice.
