Saginaw Spirit Relieve Troy Smith of Coaching Duties

Saginaw, Michigan - Saginaw Spirit General Manager Dave Drinkill announced Sunday the organization has relieved Troy Smith of his duties as Head Coach. Associate Coach Chris Lazary has been promoted to Head Coach.

"I want to thank Troy Smith for his service to the Saginaw Spirit organization," said Drinkill. "I felt a change at this time was the best thing for our players and the franchise."

The Spirit organization wishes Troy Smith the best in his future endeavors.
