Oshawa Generals News Release

The Oshawa Generals return from the road tonight to go up against the Niagara IceDogs at the Tribute Communities Centre. The Gens hold a 12-7-2-0 record after two big back to back road wins against the Windsor Spitfires on Thursday and the Sarnia Sting on Friday. With momentum on their side, Oshawa will aim to take down the IceDogs tonight and continue to climb in the standings.

Tonight's matchup marks the first time the Generals will take on Niagara this season. Heading into the game, Oshawa sits at fifth place in the eastern conference. Meanwhile, after a 6-3 win over the Erie Otters last night, the IceDogs hold fourth in the eastern conference with a 12-6-3-0 record. The Gens will look to take down the central division foes and jump them in the standings with a big win tonight at home.

Gens forward Nando Eggenberger heads into tonight's game on a hot streak. Coming off his first OHL hat trick against the Sarnia Sting on Friday that earned him the OHL's second star of the night, Nando Eggenberger has been on fire as of late. Recording 7 goals in his last 7 games and 6 points in his last 2 games, the winger has been a huge contributor to the Gens offense as he continues to find the back of the net. At a point-per-game pace with 21 points in 21 games this season, Eggenberger will look to keep up his impressive numbers and help produce up front.

Serron Noel has been another key factor in the surging Gens offense, extending his point streak to 6 games after recording an assist in Friday's contest against the Sting. The power forward also put on a show in Thursday's tilt against the Spitfires, putting up 2 goals and 2 assists for a 4-point performance that earned him the OHL's third star of the night. Tied for the team lead with Jack Studnicka at 26 points, Noel will look to continue to lead the team offensively tonight against the IceDogs.

Come join us at the Tribute Communities Centre for tonight's game at 6:05pm and cheer on the Gens as they battle the Niagara IceDogs! After tonight's game, the team will head to Ottawa to take on the 67's on Wednesday before returning home against the Bulldogs on Friday and the Sting on Sunday.
