SAN ANTONIO - Justin Hancock and Tayron Guerrero teamed to shutdown Corpus Christi over the final five frames Tuesday night as the Missions engineered a 4-2 victory at Wolff Stadium.

The result snapped the Hooks' series win streak at 10 and concluded a 6-2 road trip.

Chris Devenski entered the game having allowed four runs over his first 11 appearances for a 0.65 ERA. San Antonio matched that number Tuesday night.

With the game level at 2 in the home fourth, Jason Hagerty drove a triple over the head of centerfielder Andrew Aplin. Jose Rondon, making his Double-A debut, then cracked a single through the drawn-in infield for a 3-2 Missions edge.

Yeison Asencio opened the sixth and belted the first pitch from Devenski over the fence in left, upping the Missions lead to two.

Roberto Pena's one-out single in the seventh snapped a string of eight in a row retired by Hancock (6-2). Pena was stranded at third base.

Leo Heras led off the eighth with an infield hit. Guerrero responded by registering six consecutive outs en route to his fifth save.

Devenski surrendered eight hits and fanned three batters without issuing a walk. He threw 66 of 90 pitches for strikes. Devenski (7-1) now ranks 2nd in the minor leagues with a 1.18 ERA.

Aaron West relieved Corpus Christi's ace with two perfect innings. West struck out two.

Both of the Hooks' runs came with two outs. Chan-Jong Moon opened the game with a walk. Moon swiped second and later crossed the plate on Tyler White's base hit to left.

Conrad Gregor tied the game in the fourth with a double down the right-field line. Jio Mier plated Gregor as part of three consecutive Hooks singles. With the bases loaded, Hancock induced a chopper to second to end the inning.

Corpus Christi returns to Whataburger Field for 13 games in 12 days. Frisco's Jake Thompson (6-4, 3.82) takes on the tandem of Michael Feliz (0-1, 6.75) and lefty Josh Hader (1-3, 3.64) in Wednesday's series opener. First pitch 7:05. Click here for a full rundown of homestand happenings.
