Owen Sound Attack News Release

Mount Forest native Scott Tregunna led the Owen Sound Attack in scoring with 1 goal and 5 assists as he factored in on every goal, but it wasn't enough as the London Knights picked up a 7-6 shootout win at the Bayshore. Tregunna was named Third Star of the Game.

Bobby Ryan chipped in with 3 goals and 2 assists. His third goal of the game was the 132nd goal of his OHL career, surpassing Wes Goldie for the most goals in an OHL career for the franchise. Bobby Ryan now holds the franchise records for most assists in a career, most goals in a career, and most points in a career. For his record setting efforts Ryan was named First Star of the Game.

The Owen Sound Attack improves to 69 points on the season with a record of 31 wins, 28 losses, 3 overtime losses, and 3 shootout losses. They remain 8th in the Western Conference and just 2 points behind the Sarnia Sting with 2 games remaining for Owen Sound in the regular season.

Both the Plymouth Whalers and London Knights now have 100 points and are tied for the conference and league lead; however Plymouth would receive top spot in the event of a tie with their current record head to head against London. If the Attack remains in 8th position then Owen Sound would play the team that finishes first in the Western Conference in the first round of the playoffs.
