
Ryan Brasier activated from DL and assigned to Quakes

The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce today that RHP Ryan Brasier has been activated from the disabled list and promoted to Rancho Cucamonga of the California League.
Brasier posted a 1-3 record, 1.59 ERA and nine save in 23 relief appearances for the Kernels, In 28.1 IP, he allowed eight runs (five earned) and 22 hits with 14 walks and 24 strikeouts. The league was batting .210 against him. He was placed on the DL back on June 8 with a lower abdominal strain and had recently completed a rehab assignment with the Tempe Angels of the Arizona League.
With today's transactions, the Kernels roster remains at 25 active players with three players on the disabled list.
The Kernels continue a four game series at Wisconsin tonight at 7:05 pm. They return home to Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, August 29 for the final home stand of the regular season against the Clinton LumberKings.
