The Thunder, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball, are pleased to announce that LHP Ryan Bollinger has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending August 12. Portland INF Michael Chaivs earned the League's Player of the Week award.

Bollinger, a member of the New York Yankees 40-man roster, went 1-0 this week with a 0.00 ERA. The left-hander delieverd seven scoreless innings on Wednesday against Altoona allowing just one hit and two walks in leading the Thunder to a 2-1 victory.

The native of Maple Grove, MN joined the Thunder in early May and has recorded a 7-4 record with a 4.18 ERA in 14 starts with the Yankees Double-A affiliate. Signed as a minor league free agent after pitching overseas in 2017, Bollinger has twice been called up to join the Yankees 25-man active roster, however, he has yet to appear in a game.

Bollinger becomes the fourth Thunder player to earn the Eastern League's weekly honor following RHP Brian Keller, who earned the award for the week ending July 29, and RHP Michael King and INF Abiatal Avelino; who swept the honors for the week ending July 2.
