BISMARCK, ND - Former Larks outfielder Ryan Anderson (University of California-Davis) has been selected in the 31st round of the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft by the Texas Rangers. The Rangers selected Anderson with the 929th overall pick in the draft.

"I couldn't be happier for Ryan. After last season, I told the front office that Ryan Anderson would be the first Larks big leaguer," said Larks Fielder Manager Sean Repay. "He now gets to go live his dream. He's excited, and the whole organization is as well!"

In the Larks inaugural 2017 season, Anderson appeared in 49 games and played mostly right field with occasional appearances at first base. Anderson registered 13 doubles, five home runs, and 27 RBIs. He also hit for a .340 batting average, the seventh-highest average in the Northwoods League last season.

In his junior season with UC-Davis, Anderson led the Aggies with a .345 batting average, 76 hits, 36 RBIs, a .384 on-base percentage, and a .505 slugging percentage.
