Russia's Ivan Telegin to Play in Subway Super Series

(Saginaw, MI) Saginaw Spirit forward Ivan Telegin has been named to Team Russia's roster for the 2009 Subway Super Series, which will pit Team Russia against the Canadian Hockey League's best. Telegin will play in the Windsor game of the six game series, on November 23, 2009.

Telegin enters the week the top scoring rookie in the Ontario Hockey League with 14 goals and ten assists in 20 games played. The Novokuznetsk, Russia native is considered a top prosepct for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Subway Super Series is used to help Team Canada and Team Russia evaluate players for their World Junior's rosters. The 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships will take place this winter in Saskatoon, Canada and Regina, Canada.

Telegin and the rest of the Spirit squad will square off tonight in Niagara, Ontario for a road game against the IceDogs at 7:30 PM. The team returns to action in Saginaw this Saturday, November 14, for a 7:11 PM game against the London Knights.
