Rush Adds \'Flair' to Central States Fair

Rapid City Rush has joined the line-up at this year's Central States Fair, August 15th - 23rd. The team will sponsor a booth at the Fair August 21, 22 and 23 from 12 pm to 8 pm. Rush will offer a variety of activities for children ranging from Rush temporary tattoos to puck shooting competitions and will also have staff available to answer questions about the upcoming season and season tickets. In addition to keeping the kids entertained, Rush plans to announce the team's mascot Saturday, August 23. The mascot will be unveiled sometime the week of the Fair at an undisclosed event and time and will be available Saturday from 12 pm - 3 pm for photographs and autographs.
"We're very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the Fair and the introduction of the team's mascot," said General Manager Jason Rent. "One of my first experiences in Rapid City was the Fair and we're honored to be participating in this grand event." Rapid City Rush is currently seeking applicants to fill the skates for the team's mascot. This person should be skilled in ice skating.
