Spokane Indians News Release
The Texas Rangers have promoted Spokane right handed pitcher Josh Rupe to the Stockton Ports of the California League. Rupe, who was 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in four games with Spokane, will rejoin the Ports starting rotation. Rupe started the 2004 in Stockton, but was assigned to Spokane on a rehabilitation assignment due to a mild muscle strain in his throwing arm. In 18 innings, Rupe allowed just 14 hits while recording 19 strikeouts, to go along with three walks.
