
Rumble assigned for conditioning, Soucy sent to Pensacola

HERSHEY â The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Lightning that defenseman Darren Rumble has been assigned to HERSHEY on a conditioning assignment. The veteran defenseman is expected to be available when the BEARS take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Friday night at Wachovia Arena.
Rumble played two games with HERSHEY earlier this season, scoring one goal. The former first round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers was named the AHL's best defenseman during the 1996-97 season. The BEARS also announced today that forward Jean-Francois Soucy has been assigned to Pensacola (ECHL). Soucy picked up two assists in eight games with HERSHEY since being recalled on January 4th.
The BEARS will play at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday before returning home to meet the Providence Bruins Saturday night. Face-off at GIANT Center Saturday is at 7:00 p.m.
