
Rudkowsky Returnsâ¦O\'Leary and Yeats Placed on IR

Reading, PA â The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that goaltender Cody Rudkowsky has been returned by the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and forward Jamie O'Leary and goaltender Matt Yeats have been placed on the seven-day injured list.
Rudkowsky returns to Reading after being loaned to Providence on November 30, 2004. He appeared in 14 games with the Bruins posting a 4-7-2 mark with a 3.20 goals against average and .898 save percentage. The Willingdon, Alberta began the season in Reading with a 1.87 goals against and .934 save percentage, despite sporting a 0-4-0 record. The sixth-year-professional rebounded with four wins and lowered his goals against average to 1.29 and save percentage to .949. On November 16, Rudkowsky was named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week. Rudkowsky will wear sweater #30 and is expected in the Reading lineup tonight against Johnstown.
Forward Jamie O'Leary has been placed on the 7-day IR, along with goaltender Matt Yeats. O'Leary has seen spot duty for Reading this year. In seven games, he has posted two goals for three points and recorded six penalty minutes. Netminder Matt Yeats joins O'Leary on the injured list. Yeats has appeared in 13 games with Reading this season and backstopped his way to a 8-2-2 record with a 2.38 GAA and .918 save percentage. Of Yeats' eight victories four have come via a shootout (3) or overtime (1). Yeats signed an ECHL contract with Reading on November 30, 2004.
The Royals battle the Johnstown Chiefs in the Keystone Cup Series tonight in the Sovereign Center at 7:05 p.m. ET. The Royals will meet on back-to-back Tuesday night affairs in the Sovereign Center against the Chiefs. On Tuesday, March 1, the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a free bowling pass from Bowl-O-Rama in Exeter. The Royals and Chiefs will meet a total of seven times this season for the coveted Keystone Cup, battle of Pennsylvania.
