Louisiana's Shepherd Suspended Five Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that Louisiana center Jim Shepherd has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #688 at Texas on February 19.
Shepherd is suspended under Rule 33A Supplemental Discipline after delivering a crosscheck to the head area of an opponent.
Shepherd will miss Louisiana's games vs. Columbia (Feb. 23), vs. Mississippi (Feb. 25), vs. Columbia (Feb. 26), vs. Florida (Feb. 27) and vs. Florida (Mar. 2).
