Bridgewater, NJ - The Akron RubberDucks (30-22) defeated the Somerset Patriots (32-19) by a final score of 4-3 in extra innings at TD Bank Ballpark on Tuesday night.

Josh Breaux put the Patriots on the board quickly with an RBI double that brought home Elijah Dunham in the bottom of the first.

The RubberDucks later knotted the game up 1-1 in the top of the fourth after Chris Roller scored on a double play.

Akron pulled ahead the following inning on a wild pitch that allowed George Valera to come home.

Somerset regained the lead in the bottom of the sixth after Breaux crushed a solo home run (11) and Michael Beltre walked home Jesus Bastidas to put the Patriots on top 3-2. Breaux went 2-for-4 on the night with two RBI.

With the RubberDucks down to their last out, Victor Nova evened the score again in the top of the ninth on an RBI double that plated Daniel Schneemann. Blake Perkins helped prevent further damage in the inning as he pulled a fly ball back from over the right field fence to rob Brayan Rocchio of a home run and end the frame.

Roller brought home the decisive run in the top of the tenth on an RBI triple that knocked in Rocchio.

Jerson Ramirez (3-1) threw two scoreless innings and allowed just one baserunner in a winning effort. Jose Mujica (0-1) gave up the go-ahead run in his lone inning pitched for the loss.

The 2022 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue at home on Wednesday, June 8 with a 6:35 pm game against the RubberDucks at TD Bank Ballpark.
