(AKRON, OHIO) - Akron RubberDucks first baseman and outfielder Micah Pries was named Eastern League Player of the Week for Week 13, June 28-July 3. Pries is the first player or pitcher in the Eastern League to earn back-to-back Player of the Week honors.

Pries recorded a hit in each game of the series in Erie going 10-for-20 with two doubles, three home runs and six RBI against the SeaWolves.

The 24-year-old is now on a team-long 11-game hitting streak. During the streak, Pries is 19-for-42 with 13 runs scored, four doubles, five home runs and 16 RBI. From June 26-30, Pries homered in four straight games, which matches the longest such streak in the Eastern League this season.

Pries' second straight Player of the Week honor marks the fifth time a member of the RubberDucks was named Pitcher or Player of the Week this season. Daniel Espino was named Pitcher of the Week for his 14-strikeout performance against Bowie on April 23, Hunter Gaddis was named Pitcher of the Week for his six hitless innings against Binghamton on May 19 and Logan Allen was named Pitcher of the Week for his 11-strikeout performance against Hartford on June 16.

A 2019 13th round pick out of Point Loma Nazarene, Pries is in his first season with the RubberDucks. In 62 games with Akron, Pries is batting .271 with 14 home runs (leads the team), three triples (tied for team lead) and 46 RBI (second most on the team).

The Akron RubberDucks will begin the series against the Altoona Curve at Canal Park on Wednesday, July 6 at 5:05 p.m.
