Tuesday night at FNB Field, the Erie SeaWolves used the longball to jump out to a big early lead, cruising to a 7-0 win over the Senators. Erie scored three in the third and three more in the fourth with five of the six runs coming on home runs. Harrisburg managed just three hits in the game, all doubles, as they dropped a second straight game to Erie.
Josh Rogers started and went four innings for the Senators in his rehab appearance. He allowed six runs on eight hits. Steven Fuentes followed and went three frames in relief and allowed a run on three hits. Reid Schaller and Malvin Pena tossed the final two innings without allowing a run.
Jake Alu doubled twice, and Jack Dunn doubled for the Sens only three hits.
The SeaWolves have taken seven of the first eight games played between the teams. Senators manager Tripp Keister and hitting coach Micah Franklin were ejected in the fourth inning.
