RubberDucks and Curve Rained out Monday

Akron RubberDucks News Release

Monday evening's scheduled game between the Akron RubberDucks and Altoona Curve has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, May 3rd, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Unfavorable early season weather has taken a toll on opening week around the EL. The RubberDucks (2-2) were also rained out on Friday at Binghamton, but made that game up with a twinbill on Saturday. Monday's cancellation is already the third rainout during Altoona's season-opening homestand.

The current series with the Curve will now be shortened to two games, beginning Tuesday evening at 6:30. RHP Kyle Davies (NR) will make his first start of the season for Akron, while LHP Joely Rodriguez (NR) will start for Altoona. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1350 AM.

The RubberDucks Home Opener at Canal Park is scheduled for Thursday evening at 6:35 against the Bowie Baysox. That game will kick off a seven-game homestand. For details, visit www.akronrubberducks.com.
