New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

READING, Pa. - The Toronto Blue Jays made a series of roster moves today impacting the Fisher Cats active roster. Left-handed reliever Richard Bleier has been promoted to Triple-A Buffalo, and reliever Wil Browning has been promoted to New Hampshire from Dunedin to take Bleier's place on the roster. Additionally, catcher A.J. Jimenez has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to April 5.

The roster moves leave the Fisher Cats with 24 active players, one below the Eastern League maximum.

Bleier, acquired in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft in December, appeared in one game for the Fisher Cats on April 4. He pitched 1.2 scoreless innings during the Fisher Cats 7-3 win over the Trenton Thunder. He was originally a member of the Rangers organization, and made his Triple-A debut a year ago with Round Rock of the Pacific Coast League.

Browning's first appearance with the Fisher Cats will qualify as his Double-A debut. Signed as a free agent after the June draft in 2012, Browning has posted a 1.79 ERA over 64 career appearances. He spent the majority of last season with Class A Lansing. In 2014, he made one appearance with Dunedin of the Florida State League, tossing one scoreless inning.

Jimenez left the Fisher Cats win over Trenton on Friday night after collecting his third hit of the game. He was 5-for-8 with a pair of doubles and a team-high three RBI at the time of his injury.

The Fisher Cats will open the home portion of the schedule on Thursday night against the Binghamton Mets at 6:35 p.m. The first 2,500 fans will receive a magnet schedule courtesy of The Elliot Orthopaedics. To purchase tickets, visit www.nhfishercats.com.
