Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
KANSAS CITY, MO - The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Wade Davis on Paternity Leave List and recalled left-handed pitcher Donnie Joseph from Triple-A Omaha to take his place on the roster.
Joseph, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound relief pitcher, will wear uniform #49 with the Royals. He's made 31 appearances out of the bullpen for the Storm Chasers this year, posting a 3-3 record with 3 saves and a 3.55 ERA with 15 earned runs allowed in 38.0 innings pitched. He's tallied 22 walks and 59 strikeouts in his outings. He's made five-straight scoreless appearances, dating back to June 25, which spans 8.2 innings. This marks Joseph's first stint with a Major League club after being drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the third round of the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft. He was traded to the Royals for Jonathan Broxton on July 31 of last year.
