Royals Prepare for Rockets and Blazers to End Two-Week Drive
January 24, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL) - Victoria Royals News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals finish a heavy two-week schedule with home games against the Kelowna Rockets and a visit to the Kamloops Blazers this week.
The Royals have had a packed January, with six games in nine days and will be adding to that this week when they welcome the Kelowna Rockets on Tuesday, January 25th and Wednesday, January 26th. This is the second time in just over a week Victoria meets Kelowna and the third time this month.
To start the weeknight series against the Rockets, the Royals are hosting another Tasty Tuesday featuring a special $6 hot dog and candy bar combo. Then on Wednesday, it's time for another Way Back Wednesday with 90's night presented by Molson Canadian. Fans are encouraged to don their best 90's attire and head to the rink for a night of 90's nostalgia. The Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre will also be offering another Molson drink special on Wednesday with Molson Coors Original cans available for $6 in all outlets throughout the building.
On Friday, Victoria travels to Kamloops to play the second place Blazers in the final leg of this ten-game stretch. The last time the two teams met was before the Christmas break in Kamloops where the Blazers shutout the Royals 3-0.
