Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization will launch the team's new website on Monday, October 2, 2006. The new site, the address for which (www.royalshockey.com) will not change, was developed and will be hosted by Americaneagle.com, a world renowned website development firm with corporate headquarters in Park Ridge, Illinois. The Royals' new site is designed to accomplish state-of-the-art functionality by incorporating a structure based on ease of navigation, a pleasing look and feel, and programming that complies with search engine indexing. This marks the first time that Americaneagle.com, a company that has designed sites for a number of teams in the National Hockey League, has created a site for a hockey team in a professional developmental league, such as the ECHL. The Royals' new site will incorporate a number of innovative features, including an interactive depth chart and an 'e-news' system designed to immediately notify fans of developments with the team. The Royals' new site also fully integrates the recently implemented LeagueStat.com scoring system adopted this season by the ECHL.
"The layout, functional design and look-and-feel of our new site has been a 16 month process," commented Royals general manager, Gordon Kaye. "The end result is a state-of-the-art, user friendly web site that we believe our fans and followers will absolutely love."
Mike Svanascini, owner and COO of Americaneagle.com, stated, "[w]e are extremely pleased with the design of the Royals' new site. We have worked with a number of teams in the National Hockey League, and we feel that we have developed several unique, innovative and effective solutions applicable to the sport. This is the first time that we've had an opportunity to implement these solutions for an ECHL team, and we're pleased that the Royals' decided to utilize our state-of-the-art design features."
