
Jarmuth Accepts Invitation

COLUMBIA, S.C. (September 27, 2006) - Head Coach Troy Mann has announced that defenseman Mike Jarmuth has accepted an invitation to training camp for the 2006-07 season.
The 6'0, 205 lbs., Monkton, Ontario native joins the Inferno for his third professional season. Last season he logged 48 games with the Trenton Titans of the ECHL where he scored three goals and 24 assists for 27 points. He appeared in 17 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League contributing one assist and eight penalty minutes.
"We are looking forward to Mike joining our organization. Mike is proven to be an excellent all-round defenseman at this level," said Coach Mann. "We will be counting on Mike to contribute in both ends of the ice this season as well. Mike is very familiar with several of our signings this off-season, which should help in building team chemistry."
Jarmuth played collegiate hockey with Western Michigan University from 2000-2004. He began his professional career in 2004-05 with the Mississippi Sea Wolves playing all 72 games. He contributed 36 points (13g-23a) and added 24 penalty minutes.
