Royals' Jordan Fransoo Named Tip Top Tailor-Made Player of the Month

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that defenceman Jordan Fransoo has been selected as the Tip Top Tailor-Made Player of the Month for February.

The 19-year-old defenceman recorded seven points (3g-4a) to go along with just two minor penalties through 13 games played during February. All three of Fransoo's goals came with the man advantage while his seven points tied his previous career-best month for points which came back in February of 2011.

"Jordan had a very good month for us," General Manager Cameron Hope said. "Game in and game out, through a tough part of our schedule, he elevated the level of his play and continued to be a leader for our team."

Fransoo currently sits in third place for points amongst Royals' defencemen. Acquired by Victoria in a trade with the Brandon Wheat Kings last year, the North Battleford, SK native has amassed 58 points (15g-43a) over 193 regular season games in his WHL career to go along with 182 penalty minutes. The 6-3, 194 lb blueliner was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the seventh round, 186th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
