
Royals Host Three Games this Week

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals will host the East Division leading Brandon Wheat Kings tomorrow night and the Tri-City Americans on Saturday, November 1st and Sunday November 2nd. Tomorrow's game is sponsored by Save-On-Foods while Saturday evening is Turn Back the Clock Night and Sunday afternoon is Marty the Marmot's birthday presented by Island Savings. Sunday's game also marks the first Kirby's Source for Sports' Skate with the players after the game.
FILLING THE NET: With two goals in Saturday night's 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Giants, Royals' forward Austin Carroll is currently tied for first in WHL goal scoring with 10 goals in 13 games. The Calgary Flames' draft pick has 19 points (10g-9a) in 13 games to lead Victoria in scoring.
SO FAR SO GOOD- Since moving to Vancouver Island the Victoria Royals are 3-0-0-0 when facing the Brandon Wheat Kings, with two of the games needing extra time. Last season the Royals defeated the Wheat Kings 5-3 in Brandon, with goals from current players Tyler Soy, Austin Carroll, and Keegan Kanzig. In Brandon's only visit to the Island, on October 23, 2012, Victoria edged the Wheat Kings 4-3 in overtime.

- The first 1,500 fans will receive a vintage style, Royals' team poster presented by Coca-Cola and Digital Direct Printers.

- Come celebrate Marty the Marmot's 9th Birthday! Marty's birthday card will be available for anyone to sign at Gate 1 from 12:00 - 1:00PM. Marty will be joined for the event by his mascot friends including: Turbo (Harbour Air), Daisy the Cow (Island Farms), Sidney the Kidney (Kidney Foundation of Canada), Ace (Saanich PD), Santa Bear (CFAX Santas Anonymous), Cooper (Co-op Gas), Terry the Trader (Sports Traders), Harvey (Harbour Cats), Striker (Victoria Highlanders FC) and Rocky (Victoria Shamrocks).
POST-GAME
Kirby's Source for Sports' Skate with the players:
- Join the Royals post-game for Kirby's Source for Sports Skate with the players. Fans are encouraged to bring their own skates and helmets, but can rent by donation from the SOFMC Skate Shop. Fans are also encouraged to sign up and secure your wristband from the skate shop pre-game or during the intermissions.
