Royals Down Chiefs in OT in Game 4

Spokane, WA- The Victoria Royals' Alex Forsberg scored his second goal of the night at the 8:41 mark of the first overtime to defeat the Spokane Chiefs 3-2, and the Royals' now lead the best-of-seven series 3-1.

A tight checking game through regulation saw the Chiefs take the lead on two occasions, but the Royals battled back to force overtime. Matthew Phillips scored Victoria's other goal. Spokane's markers were registered by Dominic Zwerger and Presten Kopeck.

Royals' netminder Griffen Outhouse, who made his first WHL post-season start, made 30 saves on the 32 shots he faced. The Chiefs' Lasse Petersen turned aside 23 of the 26 shots directed his way.

Victoria went 1/6=16.7% on the man-advantage, while Spokane held a 1/2=50.0% mark on the powerplay.

With the victory, the Royals have now earned a 5-2 overtime playoff record in their five-year history on the island.
