Spokane, WA - The Victoria Royals dropped a 6-1 decision to the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday night at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

Notes:

Former Team: Royals forward Sean Gulka scored against his former team in tonight's contest. The Langley, BC native has now recorded four points (1g-3a) in three career games versus Spokane. Gulka played eight games with the Chiefs over parts of two seasons (2017-18 & 2018-19) and registered two assists.

Scratched: Due to injury, the Royals were missing forwards Carson Miller, Gary Haden, Graeme Bryks and Alex Bolshakov, along with defenceman Jacob Herauf.

First Career Goal: Spokane forward Reed Jacobson scored his first career WHL goal in tonight's game. Jacobson was selected by the Chiefs in the sixth round, 115th overall in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

Helping Hand: With two assists in tonight's game, Chiefs forward Adam Beckman now leads the WHL in that category with 10.
