
Royals' Chaz Reddekopp Signs with the Los Angeles Kings

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals would like to congratulate defenceman Chaz Reddekopp who has agreed to a three-year entry level contract with the National Hockey League's (NHL) Los Angeles Kings.
Reddekopp was originally drafted by the Kings in the seventh round, 187th overall, at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Earlier this this week, Reddekopp signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement with the Kings' top affiliate the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League. Reddekopp made his professional debut with the Reign on Wednesday night in a 3-2 overtime victory over the Stockton Heat.
The native of West Kelowna, BC recently completed his fourth season in the WHL where he appeared in 51 regular season games and set career highs in goals (10), assists (33) and points (43) to lead all Royals' defencemen in scoring. He also skated in six playoff games for Victoria this post-season and tallied two assists.
The 6-4, 221 lb blueliner has spent his entire WHL career with the Royals where he has played in 234 regular season games and scored 103 points (20g-83a). He has also recorded nine assists in 31 career playoff contests.
Reddekopp was selected by Victoria in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft in the first round, 13th overall.
