Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that Royals' Charities, a not-for-profit foundation established to assist community related charitable events and causes, will donate $100.00 to the Michael H. Wise II Memorial Foundation for every goal scored in the First Annual Battle Of The Badges on Sunday, February 19.The Battle of the Badges pits the Reading Police Department and the Reading Fire Department in a charity hockey game that will be held immediately prior to the Royals' match-up against the Trenton Titans this Sunday. The opening face-off for the Battle of the Badges will be held at 1:00 pm, while the Royals' game will begin at 3:35 pm. Wise II Memorial Foundation, a scholarship fund established for family members of law enforcement officers.

Joni Naugle, the president of Royals' Charities, stated, "we are extremely pleased to make this offer to help raise money for the Michael H. Wise II Memorial Foundation. All we need now is the two teams to score a bunch of goals! We anticipate a great game on Sunday-we're not going to predict a winner, and we don't want to wish ill will on the goaltenders, but we do hope for a high scoring affair."
