Notes

BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT - THE SEQUEL: Saturday night's combined four goals at the start of the second period in a mere 2:32 by the Royals and Giants was very impressive, but Victoria and Kamloops did their best to out do that mark at the start of the second frame tonight. The Royals and Blazers combined for three goals in only 41 seconds. Kamloops struck 1:23 into the frame followed by the Royals lighting the lamp 25 seconds later. The Blazers ended the scoring spree at the 2:04 mark.

I HATE MONDAYS: The Royals are 0-4-0-0 this year on Monday. It has been their least successful day of the week this season. The good news is that tonight was Victoria's last Monday night game of the 2021 RE/MAX Hub season.

WELCOME TO THE DUB: Blueliner Austin Zemlak made his WHL debut in tonight's game. The 15-year-old was the Royals' first round draft choice (#9 overall) in this year's WHL Bantam Draft. The Fort MacMurray, AB native played for OHA Edmonton during the 2019-20 season where he accumulated 36 points (8g-28a) in 27 games.

POWERFUL PLAY: Royals forward Keanu Derungs has done all his damage on the offensive end with the man advantage this year. In seven games this year he has totaled three goals and two assists all coming on the power play.

Next Game: The Royals welcome the Blazers to the RE/MAX Hub in Kelowna on Thursday night where they will face Kamloops at 7:05 p.m. Catch all the action on The Zone @ 91.3.
