
Royals Battle Rockets in Games 3 & 4 Next Week

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals will host the Kelowna Rockets in Games 3 & 4 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals presented by Coke Zero, 2 Burley Men, Yates Street Taphouse and Gillis Plumbing. Game 3 will take place on Tuesday, April 14th and Game 4 on Wednesday, April 15th with puck drop for both contests scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
POST-SEASON EXPERIENCE: Going into their playoff match-up vs. Kelowna, the Royals have 22 players on their team who have a combined 295 post-season games played. Meanwhile the Rockets have 346 WHL Playoff games of experience amongst 21 players on their squad. On Victoria, forward Greg Chase leads the way with 33 games of post-season experience, while forward Tyrell Goulbourne has played the most playoff games on Kelowna with 37.
BETWEEN THE PIPES: The starting netminders for each team, come into this second round series with almost identical WHL career stats. Victoria's Coleman Vollrath and Kelowna's Jackson Whistle have both taken part in 114 regular season games and played 6039 and 6305 minutes respectively. Vollrath has stopped 2885 shots for a 0.909 save percentage (SV%), while Whistle has made 2770 saves and collected a 0.910 SV%. Both goaltenders have also recorded seven career regular season shutouts.
TUESDAY - GAME 3
Tickets:
- Mad Mondays return on Monday, April 13th, where fans will have the opportunity to purchase $7 tickets for both games. This ticket deal is only be available at the Select Your Tickets Box Office, which opens at 9:30 a.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as Mad Monday tickets are available in limited quantities only.
- Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid line-ups, as the Royals are expecting a larger than normal walk-up crowd.

The Royals and Rockets begin their second round best-of-seven series tonight in Kelowna. Game 2 will go tomorrow night with puck drop for both contests scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The entire second round series between the two clubs will be televised live on Shaw TV and Shaw HD channel 304 throughout Western Canada.
