Roy Signs Entry Level Contract with Ducks

Lincoln, Neb. - Former Star Kevin Roy has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks, the Ducks announced on Friday, April 8.

Roy finished his NCAA career with 65 goals, 85 assists and 92 penalty minutes through 130 games with the Northeastern Huskies. The 5'10" 170 pound forward captained the Huskies to the 2016 Frozen Four tournament - recording 26 points in 29 games during his senior season.

The former Star was named USHL Player of the Year for the 2011-2012 season when he had 104 points in 59 games with the Stars. Roy is the only player in the league's Tier-1 era to score 50 goals in a single season.

Anaheim selected Roy in the fourth-round (97th overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
