ATLANTIC CITY- The Brockton Rox tied the series Thursday night at Bernie Robbins Stadium with an 8-3 victory in front of 1342.

Tony Gonzalez led Brockton going 3-for-4 including two homers and a double with three RBI and three runs. The Rox started the game off quickly with an RBI from Jason Radwan who went 2-for-5 on the night.

The Rox added a strong second inning scoring four runs. Gonzalez started the inning off with a double to left center. Fredy De La Cruz singled in Gonzalez from third for the first run of the inning. Alex Nunez hit his first homer of the year with a three run shot off the right field foul pole.

Bryan Morse pitched six solid innings allowing only one run on two hits. Morse struck out six and walked two batters. Kyle George pitched the final two and two thirds innings for his third save of the season shutting out the Surf allowing just one hit.

Atlantic City's Coogie Freedman took his first loss of the season pitching just three innings allowing 10 hits and six runs, while striking out three. Kevin Brower pitched four shut out innings in relief allowing just three hits.

Wil Quintana went 3-for-4 for a positive note for the Surf.

Atlantic City will travel to Nashua for a three game series with the Pride. Brockton is hosting the Jackals for a three game series.
