
Rox Radwan named Can-Am batter of the week

BROCKTON - The Can-Am League announced that Brockton Rox C Jason Radwan received Batter of the Week honors for July17th - 23rd from SportsTicker, the official stat provider of the Can-Am League. Radwan was 4-8, with a homerun, four RBI, five runs scored, and seven walks; leading to a slugging percentage of .875 over that stretch. He follows OF Joe Hough (7/9) and INF/OF Eugene Julien (7/16); who were awarded the weekly league honor over the previous two weeks.
Leading the team in walks (35), hits (49), and on-base percentage (.395), the seven-year veteran is the only Rox player to have suited up and played in every game this season. He is hitting .274 with 4 homeruns, and 22 RBI in his first season in Brockton.
Radwan began his professional career with the St. Paul Saints of the Northern League in 2000. He was signed by the Dodgers and played in the Dodger organization in 2002. Prior to the start of the 2006 season, he was invited to spring training with the Seattle Mariners.
