
Rox Batters Reach Base 19 Times in Game Two Versus MoonDogs

ST. CLOUD, MN - The St. Cloud Rox (15-11) dropped game two of their series against the Mankato MoonDogs (17-10) with a 11-5 final score, Sunday, June 25th. In the Great Plains West division, the Rox sit among the top teams in the division.
The starting pitcher for St. Cloud was Wes Burton. Burton went 1.2 innings pitched, tallying one strikeout, and giving up just two hits. Burton has five strikeouts in 3.2 innings pitched over his first two starts.
John Nett had a hit and two walks, scoring twice. Nett has scored 16 times in 17 games this season, raising his career total with the Rox to 95. Matt Goetzmann reached base four times for St. Cloud, walking twice with two singles. Goetzmann also had an RBI and a run scored, raising his season totals to 19 each. Ben Vujovich reached on a single and two walks, scoring once. Vujovich has a four-game hitting streak.
Evan Esch was the first arm out of the bullpen, throwing 2.1 innings with one strikeout and no runs given up. Esch has 10 strikeouts and a 2.89 ERA over 9.1 innings pitched this season. Garrett Mclaughlin had his longest performance of the season, with 3.2 innings pitched while striking out three batters. Mclaughlin has nine strikeouts over 9.1 innings pitched in six appearances. Brady Posch had a clean outing in his third appearance, throwing the final 1.1 innings with a strikeout.

The Rox head on the road for game three of the series tomorrow, Monday, June 26th, for a 6:35 pm first pitch against the Mankato MoonDogs.
