Round Rock continues a nine-day, eight-game road trip Friday with the second of four games against the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Houston Astros). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 a.m. CDT at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. The Express, 5-5 in their last 10 games, snapped a three-game winning streak with an 11-5 loss in last night's series opener. The RedHawks are 6-4 in their last 10 games, winning each of the last two games. Round Rock is 5-8 on the road, while Oklahoma City is 8-5 at home. The RedHawks currently have a half-game lead over New Orleans in the Pacific Coast League American Southern Division and a five-game lead over the Express. This is the second of 16 meetings between Round Rock and Oklahoma City this season.

BUTLER STREAK ENDS AT 15 GAMES

Joey Butler snapped a 15-game hitting streak last night, going 0-for-3 with a walk. He was 20-for-58 (.345) during the streak with three homers, five RBI, five doubles and 17 runs scored. Butler's streak was the second-longest in the PCL this season to date behind only the 18-gamer by Las Vegas outfielder Travis Snider, which also ended last night. Butler enjoyed four multiple-hit games during the streak, including one three-hit outing. It was Butler's fourth streak of at least 10 games since the beginning of last season; he enjoyed a 16-game streak last season, falling two games shy of Mark Saccomanno's 2008 franchise-record, 18-game stretch. Butler has hit safely in 17 of 20 games this season and reached safely in all but the season's fourth game. He has not gone consecutive games without a hit since April 17-18, 2011 (the fourth and fifth games of his Triple-A career), a span of 128 games. Furthermore, Butler has hit safely in 12 consecutive home games and 26 of his last 27 games at The Dell Diamond dating back to last season.
