
RoughRiders Welcome Fourth-Largest Crowd in Franchise History Sunday

FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, completely sold out Sunday's game at Dr Pepper Ballpark shortly after the gates opened at 3:00 p.m. for the 4:05 p.m. game. Every ticket for all available fixed seats, hospitality areas, suites, grass berm, and standing room locations were purchased. The announced attendance of 11,842 is the fourth largest in team history and biggest since July 4, 2015.
The RoughRiders have now drawn eight of the top ten crowds in the 14-year Dr Pepper Ballpark history during the past two seasons. The only larger crowds than Sunday's all came last year, including the biggest ever on June 12, 2015.

Texas Rangers right-hander Yu Darvish made his first rehabilitation start since undergoing Tommy John surgery last spring on Sunday afternoon, tossing two innings of shutout ball with a pair of strikeouts.
"The excitement surrounding Yu's appearance at Dr Pepper Ballpark, along with great weather, and the many other fun and creative ballpark activities has combined to create one of the most special days in the history of the Frisco RoughRiders this afternoon," said team Executive Vice President & General Manager Jason Dambach. "We're excited to continue to create fantastic memories and can't-miss events for the next four months, and beyond."
