Des Moines Buccaneers News Release
Despite 3-2 and 4-3 leads, the Bucs dropped a 8-5 decision to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. With goals from Andrew Himelson, Andrew Panzarella and Rocco Carzo, the Bucs led 3-2 after one period. Himelson's second of the night made it 4-3 at the 5 minute mark of the second period. But it was all Cedar Rapids from there, scoring 5 unanswered to blow the game wide open. The Bucs' Ryan Walters finished the scoring with an unassisted mark in the third to make it 8-5. Michael Houser took the loss, stopping 13 of 18 shots and getting the pull with 5 minutes to go in the second stanza. Aaron Crandall finished the game up making 27 saves out of 30 shots on goal.
The Buccaneers return to the ice tomorrow night against Green Bay Gamblers. It's March Madness with $3.00 margaritas and $2.50 cheeseburgers, as well a Standing Hampton concert following the game.
