
Stampede's Grover Commits to Bowling Green

Sioux Falls, SD--The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today that defenseman Max Grover has committed to Bowling Green State University for the 2009-10 season.
Grover is the Stampede's top scoring defenseman, recording 18 points (3g, 15a) in 39 games. He also leads the team with a plus/minus rating of plus-25. His rating places him fourth overall amongst all USHL defensemen.
The Kentwood, MI native is in his second season with the Stampede. He posted seven points (1g, 6a) in 51 games last season with the Herd. While at Bowling Green, Grover will join former Stampede players Dan Sexton, David Solway and Patrick Tiesling who were all members of the Stampede's Clark Cup Championship team.
Grover becomes the 10th Stampede player to commit to a Division I program this season. The Stampede organization has helped nearly 130 players secure scholarships at the Division I level since their inaugural season in 1999.
Bowling Green State University is located in Bowling Green, Ohio and are members of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).
The Stampede return to action tonight (Friday) when they travel to Sioux City to face the Musketeers at 7:05 PM. Fans can watch the game live at Buffalo Wild Wings on all the TV big screens as well. The Herd close out the weekend on Saturday with a game in Omaha. The Herd enter the weekend just four points behind Fargo for third place in the West Division with 11 games remaining.
