Sioux Falls, South Dakota- David Boehm broke a 2-2 tie at 5:23 of the third period and the RoughRiders went on to defeat the host Sioux Falls Stampede 3-2 Friday night.
Boehm converted a give-and-go with Robin Bergman to give the Riders the lead.
It appeared the Stampede would take a 2-1 lead into the third period, but the Riders tied the game while on the power play with just eight tenths of a second left in the second period. Jacob Cepis finished off a Mike Seidel centering pass to even the score at two apiece.
The Stampede turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead in the second period by scoring twice in a minute and 19 seconds. Patrick Tiesling swept the puck under Rider goaltender Kent Patterson to get Sioux Falls on the scoreboard at 11:51 of the second. Ryan Guentzel buried a rebound to put the Stampede on top at 13:10.
The Riders first jumped in front 4:49 into the game when Andy Miele snapped the puck home off the glove of Sioux Falls netminder Matt Lundin.
