Roughnecks Select Six Players in 2013 NLL Entry Draft

Oakville, ON - The Calgary Roughnecks Lacrosse Club selected six players in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft, including three transition players, two defencemen and one goaltender, on Monday night at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ontario. Calgary acquired the 10th overall pick (2013) and a second round selection in 2015 from the Buffalo Bandits in exchange for forward Joe Resetarits and the 15th overall pick (2013). Resetarits, a product of Hamburg, New York, tallied eight goals and added 16 assists for 24 points over 14 games during his 2013 rookie season.
The Roughnecks drafted 23-year-old transition player Tor Reinholdt with their first round, sixth overall, selection. Reinholdt, a native of Port Moody, British Columbia, just finished his second season with the Langley Thunder (WLA), recording three goals and eight assists for 11 points along with 20 penalty minutes over 11 games played.
"Tor is a solid, all-around player and fierce competitor," commented Roughnecks General Manager, Alternate Governor and Director of Business Operations Mike Board on the 6-2, 200-pound transition player. "He has great speed, can play all over the floor and will add another dimension to our transition. We have watched him closely for a number of seasons and like everything he brings to the table."
"I'm super excited to go to a team so close to home, especially under Curt's coaching," said Reinholdt. "He coached me in junior and we won the Minto Cup together. He helped turn my game around."
