Philadelphia Wings Acquire Forward Luke Wiles from Buffalo

The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), have acquired forward Luke Wiles from the Buffalo Bandits in exchange for draft picks in the 2014 entry drafts.

Wiles, a University of Delaware alumnus, returns to the Wings after being a part of the squad in 2006. Since then, the 5'11" forward has played for four different NLL organizations, including: Toronto, Washington, San Jose and most recently the Buffalo Bandits.

The Orillia, Ontario native scored a career-high 39 goals in 2012 for the Bandits while dishing out 31 assists. Wiles, a prolific scorer with over 200 goals in his NLL career, looks to factor heavily into the Wings offense on the right side. In 2013, Wiles played in 12 games for the Bandits, accumulating 21 points on 10 goals and 11 assists.

In exchange for Wiles, Buffalo receives the Wings two second round picks in the 2014 draft.

The Philadelphia Wings will open the home portion of the 2014 season against the Buffalo Bandits at Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 4 p.m.
