Rock Select 9th Overall in Tonight's NLL Draft

Toronto, ON - The 2013 National Lacrosse League Draft begins at 7pm ET tonight at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, ON. The six-round draft will consist of 55 selections as the next wave of NLL hopefuls are ushered into the league.
The Rock hold seven draft picks in this evening's selection process; one pick in each round with the exception of the third, when Toronto will pick twice.
"The draft is an exciting night for everyone in the organization," said Rock GM Terry Sanderson. "It marks the official beginning of the season in a lot of ways, especially for our fans."
The deep draft could see some very interesting scenarios unfold after the first few picks and the Rock will have to wait to see what happens before making their first selection, the final pick of the first round, 9th overall.
"There will be a number of different ways we can go with our pick by the time we get to make our first round selection," said Sanderson. "At the end of the day, we are looking for a player with the type of character and values that this franchise holds in high regard."
Doors will open at 6pm ET at the TRAC in Oakville this evening. Rock fans are encouraged to attend to help welcome the newest members of the team to Toronto.
