
Roughnecks Extend Winning Streak

Calgary, AB - Curtis Dickson scored three goals in the opening eight minutes of the first quarter as the Calgary Roughnecks defeated the Buffalo Bandits 17-6 Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome, extending their winning streak to three games.
Shawn Evans tallied a team-leading nine points (2g, 7a) while Daryl Veltman picked up two goals and five helpers. Dane Dobbie had a hand in three goals and also picked up three of his own. Scott Ranger notched five points (3g, 2a) for Calgary, while Jeff Shattler, Mike Carnegie, Peter McFetridge and rookie Travis Cornwall also scored in the win.
Luke Wiles led the Bandits with two goals and three assists, while former Roughneck Tracey Kelusky chipped in a pair of helpers in the losing cause.
Mike Poulin made 27 saves to record his seventh win of the season as Calgary outshot Buffalo 68-33. Geoff Snider won 19-of-27 face-offs and led the team with nine loose balls.
The Roughnecks, now tied with Colorado for first in the Western Division (8-3), visit the Minnesota Swarm Friday, March 30 and host the Washington Stealth Saturday, March 31.
