
Rosso, Claws Top Greensboro 5-1 for 5th Straight Win

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Ramon Rosso gave up one run over six innings and Rodolfo Duran and Quincy Nieporte both homered as the BlueClaws topped Greensboro 5-1 on Tuesday for their fifth straight win.
Rosso (2-1) allowed one run on four hits with a walk and six strikeouts to earn his second win of the season.
The BlueClaws (30-21) won their fifth straight game for the first time this season. Lakewood has also won eight of their last 10 games and 15 of their last 21 games. Greensboro falls to 23-26 on the year.
The BlueClaws fell behind 1-0 but came back to tie the game in the third inning on a home run by Rodolfo Duran, his fourth of the year, in the third inning. Later in the inning, an error on Hoppers pitcher Brandon miller allowed Dalton Guthrie to score the go-ahead run.
Lakewood added a run in the fifth on an infield single by Colby Fitch and Miller's second error of the game. Quincy Nieporte went deep in the sixth, his fourth of the year, to put the BlueClaws up 4-1.
Miller (1-4) gave up four runs, two earned, over six innings of work.
Luis Carrasco got the last nine outs for his first professional save.
Nieporte had three hits in the win while Duran and Jhailyn Ortiz each had two hits for the BlueClaws. The teams continue their series on Wednesday morning at 11:05 am. LHP Will Stewart(4-0) starts for Lakewood opposite RHP Edward Cabrera (1-4).
